Dance

A composition by By U. Srinivas, Michael Brook

When the stage is set, audience waits in awe, the performer slowly takes the stage and joins her hands to greet the crowd, you will notice the air starts to clear. Depending on where you are, the lights on the crowd may get dim, the spotlight would catch the performer getting ready for her opening step OR the kids notice that rain has now started and this is the time to seize the moment and just let it all go and completely go for it! But all this will eventually lead to a Dance.

Well for the audience, watching the performer is an inspiring moment with goosebumps happening all over. The performer on the other hand has let go off everything. ‘Dance’ by U. Srinivas and Michael Brook will give you a layer to sit on and experience the ‘letting go’ when a dance happens. Every time I listen to this melody, all my contemplation stops. Heck it is even difficult to write this bit as I am writing whilst listening to that. There are techniques in any craft. The ability of the guitarist.... err.. I stand corrected, it is a mandolin (an electric mandolin) in this case.... is complemented by the patches they choose to use, the amount of delay they put in and then one gets a good track. The good becomes great when a craft begins to become art. The good becomes great when musicians and non-musicians alike close their eyes and begin to move their heads and bodies, finding rhythm, finding peace. This is just the guitar... err... again, the mandolin... becoming an art. Wait till the audio engineer begins to find art after all the musicians have put their souls. But you don’t need to worry about all that. All you need to do is bob your head when you hear the music go from your left ear to your right ear, and then a bit more when it goes back to your left.

‘Dance’ will take care of you. The composition will make you find your dance. Give it a listen here –
